good practice
One of my throwers hit 40 feet in the shot put today!
And another one made it to 120 in the discus at least twice!
Then, two middle schoolers were screaming so loud at each other I had to kick them out...they were each on their cell phones to other people swearing about the other one, but nicely within hearing range of the other (and me, while I was trying to coach my athletes). I got angry, made them both get away from the throwing area, and one left screaming how "I quit this team!".
Ten minutes later she was back:
"Ms. M, I am really sorry. I just wanted to apologize because I didn't mean all that, and I am usually not like that, and she was just really getting me upset, and I hope this hasn't ruined my chance of competing for you."
